Booking a ceremony
Booking your ceremony in Cyprus couldn't be easier. - decide upon the date, time and choose the resort (Pafos, Lemesos, Agia Napa, Larnaca)

  • The first step is to decide on your wedding Type of Ceremony (Civil or Religious wedding ceremony).

Please note that a "Special Marriage Licence" is required for all types of wedding ceremonies performed in Cyprus. In order to obtain this "Special Marriage Licence" you have to bring to Cyprus all the required documents (Legalities).

Procedure of obtaining the "Special Marriage Licence"

After your arrival in Cyprus you must visit one of the Town Halls of your choice. There, you will be asked to fill and sign a join application Form known as "Notice of Marriage". You will be asked to present the necessary original documents, which must be brought with you.

Civil Weddings:

Civil weddings are contacted usually in Town Halls or in the grounds of various hotels. They can be arranged directly with the Town Hall of your choice and you will be guided through the whole process. Book an appointment with the Town Hall of your choice to obtain this "Special Marriage Licence" and they will help you complete the necessary Form required.

Hotel Ceremonies: Many hotels have specially designed rooms, gazebo or outdoor wedding decks, where the local registrar can conduct your wedding.
If you wish to marry at a hotel, then you will need to book this directly with the "Hotel Wedding Manager." There are additional fees charged by the municipality for civil ceremonies held in venues other than a Town Hall, such as your hotel.

Beach Ceremonies

Most beach ceremonies are held in the grounds of a hotel, overlooking or near the beach.

Catholic Ceremonies:
